McCain/Palin Rally

Noah and I went to Colorado Springs very early this morning to get in line for the McCain/Palin rally at the Jet Center. Jason was bummed that he had to work that day! We got there at 7:30am and were about 300th in line. We thought we had waited too long until an hour later when the line stretched around the whole field with 12,000+ people!!! When they opened the doors, we got in and had a good spot to see the senator and governor, but with a 4 year old in tow, we didn't stay there long. Noah and I ended up walking around and keeping ourselves entertained for 5 hours until McCain and Palin showed up and spoke! Noah was such a good boy and we met lots of nice people!

I have to thank Barack & his group for throwing away thousands of American flags after his speech last week! Someone over at Invesco found them in trash bags in a dumpster and salvaged them. It made for a nice show of patriotism at the McCain rally! Barack's response was that they had planned to use the flags for another event, but you can't tell me that someone from Obama's campaign or the DNC was coming back to Denver to retrieve American flags that they had left in trash bags IN DUMPSTERS for 2 days after Obama had left town!!!! One very odd thing we all noticed was that there was no wind, until the flags were handed out. Then it was breezy the rest of the time; blowing the flags all around. Weird & coooool!

Anyway, it was a great day and so nice to be around thousands of people who are passionate about the same issues that are important to our family.
