Bean Seeds for Sale - Noah's First Sole Proprietorship

Noah came to me this afternoon and said he had an idea for a business. He wanted to set up a table out front and sell "bean seeds". I said, "Noah, I'm not sure if anyone would want to buy bean seeds at this time of year. People usually plant their seeds in the springtime." He listened to my concern and asked if he could try it anyway. He had put 4 beans in a plastic bag several days ago and had a display of sprouted beans to show his customers so they would know for sure that his "bean seeds" grow. He made his sign, set up his table and waited for the customers to pour in. He was out there for about an hour before the first neighbor came over. Noah had decided, by this time, that he needed a little variety in his selection, so he was also offering some of his original artwork for $1 each. Judy bought 1 drawing and 2 packs of beans! Another neighbor stopped by a little later and bought 2 more packs of beans for $1 and told Noah to keep the change. So, Noah made $2.20 today all by himself! He's such a little entreprenuer!

Red Feather Lakes

We already delivered the snowmaking system. Now, we're getting ready to go on the paddle boat.

Goldie went with us; you can see the top of her head in this picture. She was watching for the fish and could not figure out why we kept throwing all that perfectly good dog food into the lake!

Trip to Sioux Falls, SD

Noah and I drove to Sioux Falls to pick up an old snowgun we won in an auction and to check on our new snowguns that were delivered for Great Bear.

Legion Lake in Custer State Park, SD. We took a few days to explore on the way back.

Mackinac Island, MI

This is the bike path around Mackinac Island, MI. We biked half way around the island and then took the road that goes right through the middle. It was a nice little climb. We stopped to check out St. Ann's Cemetery for a while and read about 20 inscriptions on the stones, then headed back to town. We saw the Grand Hotel, but Noah just wanted to ride, ride, ride, so we did..for SEVEN hours!!!

Little Cottonwood Canyon and The Aquarium, Utah

The day before we got here, Little Cottonwood Canyon was closed because of flooding. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to go to the trade show in Alta, but we went anyway and were happy to find the canyon reopened! The waters were still roaring, though!

The view of Salt Lake City from Little Cottonwood Canyon

Yep! They let the kids pet those things!

This is one really old and big lobster!

Kellogg, Idaho

This old air compressor was in the Bunker Hill Mine.

Silver Mountain Resort Gondola. They were doing a training.

Noah and I walked to the Shoshone County Mining & Smelting Museum. It was closed, but a really nice man, who had once worked in the mine, gave us a tour of the museum and showed us some old minerals, maps and ledgers. It was SO cool!
