Noah's 6th Birthday Party

He's not a baby or a toddler anymore...he's a BOY! (sniffle) Jason was working today, so we opened some presents at home and then spent a couple of hours with Betsy.

Conner's 1st Birthday Party

After the rally, we headed to Shawna's house for Conner's 1st birthday party. Conner loved his birthday cake and got really messy, with Tye's help (Tye got in a little trouble for that one!). Then Noah showed Conner the ropes in his new sandbox. I'm sure there will be years of play in that sandbox!

We went to Bear Creek Lake Park for a Zana's birthday party today. Noah and Zach were inseparable, as usual, and everyone had a great time!

We had a fiesta in our back yard and then fireworks when it got dark enough.

One last thing!

We realized after everyone had left that we forgot to smash the pinata! So Jason hung it on the back deck and let a dog-tired little Noah go for it. He hit it for about 5 minutes with his bat, and nothing! Luckily, it was also a pull-string pinata, so Noah started pulling ribbons. He pulled the ribbons, one by one, and wouldn't ya know it---the very last ribbon was the one that opened the trap door! It was hilarious! We let Noah eat candy until he couldn't eat candy anymore. He was laying in the kitchen floor, playing with his new firetruck, in a sugar daze when we were finally done cleaning. It was 11:30pm and he swore he wasn't sleepy, but somehow he fell asleep 30 seconds after his head hit the pillow anyway!

Happy Birthday to ME!

We went to the Central City Cemeteries today with our homeschool group. The Central City Parkway was beautiful with clouds on the way up there. We saw lots of graves, which I didn't take pictures of, but I did get a picture of a caterpiller nest and of our group. The rain really started pouring after this and we had to leave. Jason and I had dinner tonight and Noah had a great time hanging out with Aunt Kayla.

Is it my birthday yet???

Well, I made the mistake of telling Noah that a package that showed up yesterday was full of presents for his birthday. He has asked me about 15 times since then if it's time for his friends to come over for his party. I keep telling him that it's a LONG time away--9 times going to sleep and waking up, but he is trying to will it anyway! I finally made a calendar for him to mark off the days until the big day. He's such a cute and good boy. I can hardly wait for his birthday either! :o)
