West Metro Fire - Extrication Demonstration

I have no idea how, but some dude at Home Depot got this van for the demonstration. Jason is the one inside the vehicle. In a real extrication, he would be the one talking to the person/people trapped in the vehicle and making sure they were protected from the tools, glass, etc. The guys took the whole top off, but I was videoing that part, so no pics.

Ivan talking to Noah.

The crew.

After Jason and the guys left, Noah built a birdhouse and jumped in the jumpy house. It was a fun day!

The Science Guy

We had a ton of fun today learning about...

Condensation (dry ice in water).

Bernoulli's principle (balls floating above the "other" end of a vacuum).

Conductivity (electric pickle).

Chemical reactions (Noah making blue goop).

Get wet before the game!

It was a really hot day today! Noah and I hung out on the 16th Street Mall while Jason was in the CSCUSA board meeting. Then, off to a Rockies Game. We had decent seats, but it was SO hot that we scrambled up to the nosebleeds to get some shade!

Wading with the Carberrys

The Platte River
We went wading with our friends today. The mosquitos were out in force. Noah had so many welts after this!

Catching minnows (or trying)

Noah, Bethany and Hannah. Grace is hiding behind them!
I can see a huge mosquito on Noah's neck! Ugh!

Shootin' in Rawlins, Wyoming

Noah and Kayli ready for the show.

Look out, I'm up!

Go Kayla!

Jason's turn.

What was funny about this day of shooting was that I beat everyone at skeet, and they went back and told all the details of our day, except that I had beaten all of them! :o) Well, the truth always comes out in the end!
