Off to Idaho...
we're leaving in a few mintues for 10 days in Idaho. A small town, 1 hour from Boise. I can't remember the name right now, but I'll post it when we're back. We'll be installing a snowmaking system for a tubing hill there. Noah and I will mostly be exploring while Jason works.

We're going GREEN!
We signed a contract this week with a company to install solar panels on our roof! Our system, which will be installed in 6 or so weeks, will provide 100% of our electricity needs from the sun's rays! When we make more electricity than we need, the extra will go back on the grid and Xcel will pay us for it. I am so excited!
In addition to not having a utility bill, we will eliminate the carbon emission equivalent of over 200,000 miles of exhaust from a car each year!
Yay for clean air for Noah and his children to breathe!!

"Mommy, can I fly to heaven in an airplane?"
Airplanes don't fly to heaven Noah.
Well, an airplane could just fly above the clouds and drop me off and then fly back to earth. I want to see God.
People don't usually get to see God, they usually only feel his presence......
"Dear God, I would really like to see you. If you think that is ok."

Noah's first gun
My dad gave Noah a bb gun! Now, finding somewhere he can shoot it in the city is the task! He was a great shot, with Paw's help, in Tennessee! I also figured out an excellent way to keep Noah occupied, quietly, for a very long time--loading 500 bb's, 1-by-1, into his bb gun! :o)

Tennessee Travels
Jason, Noah and I took a little trip down to Chattanooga Tennessee 2 days ago. We stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel and took a ride on the Southern Belle Riverboat for a dinner cruise. It was so much fun! Yesterday, we went to the aquarium and !surprise! it was homeschool day! What a coincidence! Noah and I got in for really cheap! Then Jason got back from the ski area he was visiting in Alabama and picked us up. We drove him to the Knoxville Airport to fly back to Colorado. Noah and I will stay for a few more days and then drive back, but not before we visit with some more family and go to the Apple Festival in Erwin!

Chattanooga, Tennessee
We took the electric bus down to the Tennessee River to board the Southern Belle for our dinner cruise. We spent 2 hours cruising up and down the river, dining and Noah & Jason even did a little dancing!
The city bus stopped running at 9pm, so we walked all the way back to our hotel. It took us about 25 minutes but, after all we ate, it was good for us! I think we saw 3 people our entire walk.
The next morning, Noah and I set out for an adventure while Jason drove an hour south to Alabama to a ski area. We met a stray cat along the way with whom Noah immediately made friends; it was hard to separate them! When we finally got to the aquarium, the lady at the counter asked if we were homeschoolers. I thought she had some weird homeschooler ESP, but it turned out that it was Homeschooler's Day at the Aquarium and she was asking everyone. We both got in for super cheap--only $19 for both! That's a great deal for a Ripley's Aquarium!!
Just as we were finishing up in the saltwater side of the aquarium, Jason called to say that he was almost there to pick us up. We would have loved to see the freshwater side, but we'll see that some other day when we make it back to Chattanooga. We had to get Jason to the Knoxville airport for his flight back home.
