This is what started it!
These pictures were taken on July 3rd! In EVERY prayer since then, Noah has said, "and thank you for watching the fireworks". I love that! He liked them so much that he is still
UPDATE: Noah thanked God for almost 2 full months (Sept. 1st) before he finally went back to being thankful for beautiful days, family & friends! :o)

One last thing!
We realized after everyone had left that we forgot to smash the pinata! So Jason hung it on the back deck and let a dog-tired little Noah go for it. He hit it for about 5 minutes with his bat, and nothing! Luckily, it was also a pull-string pinata, so Noah started pulling ribbons. He pulled the ribbons, one by one, and wouldn't ya know it---the very last ribbon was the one that opened the trap door! It was hilarious! We let Noah eat candy until he couldn't eat candy anymore. He was laying in the kitchen floor, playing with his new firetruck,

Happy Birthday to ME!
We went to the Central City Cemeteries today with our homeschool group. The Central City Parkway was beautiful with clouds on the way up there. We saw lots of graves, which I didn't take pictures of, but I did get a picture of a caterpiller nest and of our group. The rain really started pouring after this and we had to leave. Jason and I had dinner tonight and Noah had a great time hanging out with Aunt Kayla.

Noah's Daily Bread...The Cody House
Today we went to an assisted living home that is on the block next to ours. We call it The Cody House. It is a real house, not a nursing home, where 8 residents live in their own rooms, with their own decorations and carpet! All women, except Bob--he sure is outnumbered! They even have a dog named Honey Bunny--a little white terrier who is a great dog and of course Noah loves her! There is a lady who lives there and takes care of the residents every day but Sunday and Monday (there are 2 other people who come in on those days). When the residents need checkups or medical care, there is a company who comes to the house with all the the necessary equipment.
The last time we were at The Cody House, Noah and I were talking about what we could do for them the next time we went for a visit. I asked him what about games, songs or a couple of other "fun" things, but he said he wanted to make them some bread.
I did some shopping around at Goodwill and some other second hand stores and finally found a GREAT breadmaker just like the one we have. After a test-run at home, we finally took it over to The Cody House today. I mixed all the ingredients while Noah chased Honey Bunny, played peek-a-boo with Bob, and ran around giving high fives to the rest of the residents.
Since the bread rises and bakes in the bread machine, they will all get to smell it and it will be ready just in time for dinner. I can't wait to see what they think of it! We'll go over later and find out.
Noah sure has some good ideas!

Colorado Symphony Orchestra at Red Rocks
This was Noah's first symphony. During The Sea and Sinbad's Ship, Noah said, "this is sad music". Then he took self portraits as to how sad the music was. There were about 10 pictures, but I only posted one--it's the second one. He's such a goof! :o)

Little Pyro!
We played at the Keenan's house tonight. The kids loved the sparklers--especially Noah. He set all the empty sparkler boxes on fire, along with any grass or other flammable material that happened to get in the way--typical kid!! It was a great time!

Is it my birthday yet???
Well, I made the mistake of telling Noah that a package that showed up yesterday was full of presents for his birthday. He has asked me about 15 times since then if it's time for his friends to come over for his party. I keep telling him that it's a LONG time away--9 times going to sleep and waking up, but he is trying to will it anyway! I finally made a calendar for him to mark off the days until the big day. He's such a cute and good boy. I can hardly wait for his birthday either! :o)
